The 4th Annual Snowman Shuffle raised $14,000 for the city of Cape Cora’s Special Populations Program. The event was Feb. 28 at the Sun Splash Family Waterpark pavilion.

The event was hosted by Guardian Angels for Special Populations along with several local sponsors.

“I want to extend my thanks to everyone who supported this fund-raiser and helped our intellectual and physically challenged members of the community,” said Sara Sansone, Special Populations supervisor. “These funds will support programs that are vital to these participants.”

The mission for the Special Populations Program is to promote independence through exposure, education, experience and encouragement in a safe, caring environment. Programs include life skills development and adult training in addition to after-school, evening and special events providing an array of activities and options.
