Public invited to final Bimini Basin presentation on Thursday
The design team from the University of South Florida’s School of Architecture and Community Design will return to Cape Coral on Thursday, April 23, for the final community presentation. The USF students will present their updated concepts for the Bimini Basin project. The presentation is 5:307:30 p.m. at the Faith Presbyterian Church’s Faith Center at 4544 Coronado Parkway. Please note the date change and new location. The public is encouraged to attend as the City continues to move forward with creating a destination at Bimini Basin.
This will be a formal presentation, and the student teams will be presenting their concepts to the entire audience. The students will be using a large, interactive model during their particular presentations. At the completion of the presentations, USF will distribute one-page surveys to the audience for additional input toward the final project recommendation.
Three concepts were initially presented at the March 17 “open house:”
1. Threading the Needle
2. Bridging the Gap
3. Canal Works
These concepts can be viewed on the Bimini Basin page of the City’s website at www.capecoral.net under the “Special Projects” tab in the left menu.
