Cape man charged with possessing child pornography
A Cape Coral man is accused of possessing nearly a dozen videos of child pornography.
Rodolfo Ramon Gonzalez-Naranjo, 45, of 513 N.E. 25th Ave., Apt. C, was arrested and charged on Monday with 10 counts of obscene material possess control view depiction child sex conduct. As of Tuesday, he remained in custody at the Lee County Jail without bond, according to official records.
Special agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, along with assisting agencies, executed a search warrant Monday at 513 N.E. 25th Ave., Apt. C. According to the arrest report, agents located a laptop computer belonging to Gonzalez-Naranjo during the search of the home.
A forensic analyst with the FDLE conducted a forensic preview of the laptop. During the forensic preview, numerous videos with titles indicative of child pornography were reportedly identified.
The report states that the videos involved adult men and women engaging in various sexual acts on underage girls, as well as underage boys and girls engaging in sexual acts with one another.
The computer was seized for further examination.
Officials noted that additional counts may follow after a complete forensic examination.
Agents reported conducted a sworn statement with Gonzalez-Naranjo.
On Tuesday, neither he nor his family could be reached for comment on the allegations.
Gonzalez-Naranjo has a court appearance scheduled for Sept. 28.
The State Attorney’s Office is handling the prosecution in the case.
