LC DOT to hold workshop on Burnt Store widening project
The Lee County Department of Transportation and its contractor, Quality Enterprises USA Inc., will begin construction in October to widen Burnt Store Road from Diplomat Parkway to Van Buren Parkway.
The project will build a four-lane divided highway with two 11-foot-wide travel lanes in each direction, on-road bicycle lanes, a 5-foot-wide sidewalk on the west side and a 10-foot-wide multi-use path will be constructed on the east side of Burnt Store Road.
LC DOT is holding a public information workshop for the Burnt Store Road Widening Project from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 24, at the German American Social Club, 2101 S.W. Pine Island Road, Cape Coral, Those wishing to attend can stop by anytime between 5-7 p.m. to view plans for the construction project. The Lee County project team will be available to answer questions and take comments about the project.
