$35,000 in reward money offered in Zombicon shooting

The Fort Myers Police Department is partnering with the Federal Bureau of Investigations to offer $35,000 in reward money to anyone who provides the information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who fired a hand gun at the Fort Myers Zombicon, killing one and injuring five.

FBI Tampa has pledged $10,000 toward FMPD’s $25,000 reward money to raise awareness toward the homicide investigation, according to a prepared statement issued Monday by the Fort Myers Police Department.

“I’m confident someone out there knows who did this or holds the information necessary to solve this case and bring closure to the families involved,” said Police Chief Dennis Eads in the statement.

Tipsters can remain anonymous.
