Updated – Fatal hit-and-run: CCPD looking for blue Dodge pickup

Cape Coral Police now have a more detailed description of a vehicle sought in a fatal hit-and-run in the parking lot of the RacTrac in the 2600 block of Del Prado Boulevard.

Police are looking for a light blue Dodge quad cab pickup truck with a silver ladder in the bed, a silver accent stripe across the tailgate, tinted windows, and front passenger-side damage.

The driver is described as a black male, in his 30’s, wearing a green T-shirt with yellow writing or print on the front (older shirt or possibly faded design), khaki pants, with short hair.

The vehicle was last seen leaving the city via the Midpoint Bridge.

Cape Coral police are looking for a blue Dodge pickup truck with front passenger-side damage, last seen leaving the city via the Midpoint Bridge following a fatal hit-and-run at a convenience store/gas station on Del Prado Boulevard.

The incident happened in the parking lot the RaceTrac in the 2600 block and is not obstructing traffic, a 3 p.m. release from the Cape Coral Police Department states. However, drivers in the area can expect higher than normal traffic volume for the next 2-3 hours, through the 5 p.m., due to visual slow-down, officials said
