Lee County Animal Services seeks homes for 30 Maltese dogs
Lee County Domestic Animal Services is seeking to find homes for 30 Maltese dogs recently taken in from an overwhelmed caregiver. The dogs range in age from puppies to 7 years old. Anyone interested in adopting one of the dogs should come to the shelter and complete an application. The dogs will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The dogs are being vaccinated, sterilized and bathed and will be made available as they are processed through Animal Services Veterinary Clinic. Whether a puppy or adult, anyone adopting should be aware that they will all need to be housetrained.
The adoption center is open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. All adoptable animals may be viewed online at www.leelostpets.com. Information is updated hourly. Adoption applications may also be submitted online.
Information is available at www.leelostpets.com to make a donation to the Animal Care Trust Fund which assists in the care of pets who are neglected or in need of medical care. To report abuse or neglect, call 239-533-7387 or call Crimestoppers at 800-780-TIPS.
