Monster Trucks coming to Punta Gorda; Monster Slam 2K17 is set for June 2-3
After a 10-year hiatus, Monster Trucks are coming back to Punta Gorda on the same track that showcased The Rock and Stone Cold.
Monster Slam 2K17 is set for Friday, June 2, and Saturday, June 3, at the 4-17 Southern Speedway.
The event will feature Monster Trucks right off the Monster Jam tour as well as American Outlaw Tough Trucks and kart racing, quad racing, lawnmower racing, live music with the Chasing Dallas Band and a Pit Party meet and greet before the show.
Highlights will include Fort Myers resident Shane Phreed, who will be driving the World Champion Monster truck, Bounty Hunter. See him in action along with the Iron Outlaw, Nitro Hornet, King Krunch, and the very special “Fluffy” sponsored by the legendary comedian Gabriel Iglesias.
There is also a Food Drive to benefit the Harry Chapin food bank. Bring three or more non-perishable food items and take a picture with Chester Cheetah and Mr. Sykotic.
Gates open at 6 pm, Pit Party 6:15 to 7:30 pm, Show time at 8 pm.
Advance tickets, now on sale, are $10.
