Two boat serious-injury boat crashes reported
The Everest Boat ramp remains closed as law multiple law enforcement agencies continue their investigation into a pair of serious injury boat crashes that occurred on the river Saturday.
Cape Coral Police began assisting Fort Myers Police Department and Fish and Wildlife Commission investigators after a serious injury boat crash was reported before 10 a.m.
Officials announced the Everest Boat Ramp would be be closed for several hours as investigators used the ramp as a staging area, adding residents, drivers, and boaters in the area would see police activity in the area for most of the day.
Cape Coral Police then responded to a second serious injury crash on the river shortly after 1:30 p.m. The Everest Boat Ramp is expected to remain closed until 5-6 p.m.
