Small plane crashes in downtown Cape

1 min read

Today at 9:51 a.m., city emergency crews responded to a report of a small airplane crash in downtown Cape Coral.

Initial reports indicate that a single-engine Cessna airplane went down off of Miramar Street.

Officials said one person injured in the crash was trauma-alerted to a local hospital.

There were no reported injuries on the ground.

As it was going down, the plane apparently hit power lines causing a power outage in the immediate area of the crash.

Officials reported that the FAA is en route to the scene.
