Island Park Goodwill temporarily closes

2 min read

The Goodwill Retail and Donation Center located at 16523 Island Park Road and Cleveland Avenue in Fort Myers will be closed until further notice so cleanup can begin on flooding that occurred during the weekend.

“We have crews in place working to dry out the store and parking lot which sustained some damage due to excessive rain in the area,” said John Nadeau, vice president of operations for Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida.

Goodwill is referring shoppers and donors to nearby stores, such as the South Fort Myers Goodwill at 11601 S. Cleveland Ave., and another location at 13500 Plantation Road and Daniels Parkway. As a United Way partner, Goodwill would like to remind residents in need of services to call 211 for assistance.
