JessLee to shoot video at The Dixie
Florida home-grown country/rock star and independent artist JessLee wants to stick to her roots and give the folks of Cape Coral a chance to show their musical pride by coming down to the Dixie Roadhouse Saturday to star in her next music video, filming right there at the 47th Terrace nightclub.
Doors to the musical adventure open early that evening, at 5 p.m., and all those who make it out can enjoy getting in with free admission, as well as two complimentary drinks from the bar.
“We wanted to film JessLee’s next music video, ‘My Favorite Song,’ in a saloon, and David at the Dixie was so nice and welcoming to us. We’re really excited about that. Everyone in Cape Coral has been so nice. Dolphin Key Resort is sponsoring her that night, putting up our crew. All are welcome to come down and be an extra in the music video,” said Lisa Colletti, JessLee’s manager. “If they come between 5 and 7, they get in free and get two free drinks. If they come by after 7, they’ll have to pay admission.”
Colletti tells us what the music-video extras get to do that night.
“It will be a lot of fun, with JessLee dancing with them while performing. She’s also going to perform a 30-minute concert later that evening; it’s going to be a fun night.”
JessLee’s success on Season 13 of American Idol taught her a lot about the music industry and gave her that extra push to take hold of her dreams. She is proving that hard work and perseverance is what it takes to make it out there. She says, “Music is the love of my life and I am ready and willing to do the work it takes to achieve my goals.”
The musician is known as an innovator in country music, Colletti said. “She’s country with a twist of rock. Some of her new music leans toward rock with some country, but still, definitely more country with some rock.”
JessLee lives in Stuart, along the east coast of Florida. Over there, Colletti said she’s made a big name for herself along the Treasure Coast as a regional performer, southwest region, mostly. She records in Nashville, but her whole goal is to push the Florida home-grown element. “Florida is her home base. You don’t have to go to Nashville to get discovered anymore. She loves her home.”
JessLee uses her musical spotlight to help those in need, primarily doing what she can to help local veterans groups and anything to help children.
“She does a lot to help the veterans, such as the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund, and she is a fitness activist, working on a music-and-muscles program called S.T.R.O.N.G., a non-profit-type program going to schools, talking to kids, performing and giving motivational talks about going after your dreams, not letting anyone bring you down,” Colletti said. “It’s all about choosing to make the one and only life you have on earth the best it can possibly be, no matter what obstacles stand in your way by remaining mentally, physically and spiritually diligent.”
