Cultural Park, Broadway Palm, Big ARTS, close theaters in advance of Irma

Local theaters are canceling weekend performances in advance of Hurricane Irma.

Cultural Park Theatre will postpone its opening of “Tarzan,” the musical, set open its Broadway Season.

Opening weekend will now be Friday-Sunday, Sept. 15-17, with added performances scheduled for Sept. 22, 23 and 24.

Season tickets are:

$21 For Adults

$18 For Seniors (60+)

$15 For Students with ID

$10 Children under 12.

Cultural Park Theatre is at 528 Cultural Park Blvd.

Due to the uncertainty and severity of Hurricane Irma, Broadway Palm Dinner Theater also has made the decision to close the theater Friday through Sunday. The opening night celebration of Groovin’ is canceled, officials said, adding safety of employees, cast members, and customers is our top priority.

Officials hope to start up with performances again on Wednesday, Sept. 13.
