Deputies make arrest for attempted grand theft during mandated curfew hours
Monday evening, at approximately 10:18 p.m., Lee County Sheriff’s deputies patrolling in Cape Coral observed a sedan parked adjacent to display sheds in the Home Depot parking lot on Northeast Pine Island Road. As deputies approached, the sedan began to pull away. Two Home Depot security guards indicated that the sedan’s two occupants were attempting to remove a shed that had been damaged during the storm.
The LCSO report indicates a traffic stop was conducted. After further investigation, it was determined that Alicia Cannarella, 46, and Jermaine Evans, 44, were attempting to remove the shed from Home Depot property.
Both were arrested and charged with grand theft and violation of State of Emergency curfew.
