Local relief effort for Texas
Fishware Outfitters is asking all Pine Island and Cape Coral residents to join its effort to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey. The company has designed a “Gulf Coast Strong” T-shirt and is selling them at its store at 4317 Pine Island Road.
All proceeds from shirt sales will be donated to the relief effort in Texas.
Donald Ware, owner of Fishware, said he of thought doing a shirt while watching the devastation on TV.
“We have the capacity to design and print things very quickly, so I wanted to do something to help. It’s not so long ago that Hurricane Charley struck our area, and people from all over helped us, now it’s time to return the favor.
“I’m hoping people will get behind this and we can make a difference,” he added.
The shirts, which sell for $15, will be available starting Thursday, Sept. 7. Fishware Outfitters opens at 10 a.m. and closes st 6 p.m. They will continue to print the shirts as long as necessary.
