FDOT Traffic Advisory for Sanibel Causeway
The Sanibel Fire Department is hauling an oversized load across the Causeway today to assist with station restoration.
Traffic will be delayed from approximately 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Please plan at least 30 minutes to cross the Causeway during this time.
Once the load has crossed the Causeway, normal travel will resume.
Motorists should exercise caution when driving through the project, as crews are working close to active lanes. Please watch for equipment and personnel entering/exiting the work zones.
