Cheri Dunlap holds jewelry-making classes at the Estero Historical Society. PROVIDED

You may never have considered visiting a historical society or museum when looking for a beautiful jewelry gift but the Estero Historical Society will change your mind. Beaded jewelry, hand crafted by local artisan Cheri Dunlap is available in the EHS gift shop at 9285 Corkscrew Palms Blvd. in Estero Park.

The jewelry Dunlap crafts includes necklaces, bracelets, and earrings using beautiful beads and stones and even includes bracelets crafted in the school colors of Estero High School and Florida Gulf Coast University.

Jewelry-making classes also available at Estero Historical Society museum

Dunlap also conducts jewelry-making classes in the Estero Historical Society’s museum. The classes are scheduled and organized by Dunlap directly, not by the museum. She will teach a class for groups as small as two people. There is no cost for the class, but students do have to pay for the supplies used. Dunlap requests that students make a donation to the museum’s fund-raising campaign which goes directly to the cost of maintenance on the two early 1900’s buildings which comprise the museum property. To request information on the classes or scheduling, send an email to rdunlap2@comcast.net.
