Fort Myers man sentenced to 30-years in prison

A 76-year-old Fort Myers man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for violating the terms of his probation on child molestation charges.
According to the state attorney’s office, in 2011, Trummel was sentenced to 93 months in prison followed by 10 years of sex offender probation for two counts of lewd or lascivious conduct.
Trummel, who had run a now-closed daycare in Lee County, was found guilty of molesting two children.
According to the state attorney’s office, Trummel violated his probation by using the internet without permission, running a small business without reporting it, and having unauthorized contact with minors.
