Gulf Coast Garden Club to celebrate 20 years
Flower show to feature orchids

Orchid enthusiasts are invited to attend the free Monday, Oct. 16, program being presented by the Florida Gulf Coast Academy. The garden club is celebrating its 20th year as an organization.
Gayle Dorlo, orchid enthusiast, will present the program, “Beautiful Flowering Orchids-Make Yours Thrive.” Dorlo is a long-time member of the Naples Orchid Society and the Gulf Coast Orchid Alliance. She has received numerous awards and is one of the top three hobbyist growers in Southwest Florida.
There is no charge for members and guests to attend the monthly meeting. As of Oct. 16, meetings will be held at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in the Educational Center Classrooms 13-14. The church is at 2383 Beaumont Road, Bonita Springs. Meetings begin at 9 a.m. Memberships are available.
The Gulf Coast Garden Club is a member of the Fort Myers-Lee County Garden Council and the National Garden Clubs, the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, and the American Public Gardens Association.
