The annual Great Soup Kitchen Stuffing Event is this Saturday

Every fall, Community Cooperative converts excess bread they receive during food rescues and makes croutons for their famous Soup Kitchen Stuffing. With this, they will create homemade packages that contain one pound of croutons, a spice packet, and their time-honored recipe for a delicious Thanksgiving side dish for food insecure families in our community.
The goal is to make enough packages to distribute in their market and mobile food pantries for Thanksgiving and Christmas, as well as in their Café during the holidays. This means they need to cut up and create 3,000 stuffing packages.
If you’re willing and able to lend a hand, join them at Community Cooperative, 3429 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., in Fort Myers on Saturday, Oct. 7, from 9 a.m. to noon.
Community Cooperative is a non-profit human service agency whose mission is to end hunger and homelessness in Lee County.
