SWFL Slow Down R&B Day Party of the year set for Sunday, Nov. 26

Family event is open to the public with live R&B entertainment, DJ versus Battle, food trucks, kids’ activities, local vendors and more

Smash Entertainment presents the SWFL Slow Down R&B Day Party event of the year Sunday, Nov. 26 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Alliance for the Arts, 10091 McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers. Bring the entire family out to enjoy a One Year Slow Down Anniversary Celebration featuring live R&B entertainment by Pleasure P, Yung Wylin “Good Energy”, Liz Hunny and the Split Image twins. Dial it back in time for a 90’s R&B music theme reminiscent of the old street block parties back in the day, in the neighborhood, that brought everyone out to party.

There will be a 90’s Best Dressed Contest so put on your best 90’s outfit, dance shoes and get ready to celebrate. Come out and enjoy the DJ R&B versus Battle as you get your groove on singing to your favorite tunes and vibe with your friends and family as you savor an array of food truck flavors from a variety of cultures.

There will be activities for the whole family with face painting, a bounce house, a balloon artist and local vendors for some holiday shopping.

On the mic, Josh Wicks & Heatha Mo will be the MC’s with a DJ Line Up of: DJ Xander, DJ 007, DJ Epps and DJ Smash. Bring your lawn chairs and invite your friends.

Every ticket purchase comes with a free raffle ticket and there are a variety of prizes and gift baskets donated by various local small businesses. The Slow Down R&B Day Party concept was birthed after the challenging lock down that came with the 2020 Pandemic. Victor Rios felt like he had to bring the community together to celebrate life through music and he began his search for the best venue and the best environment to unite the people and also set the stage to showcase the local talent. Previous Slow Down events were held at The Jungle Bird Tiki in Cape Coral on Nov. 13, 2022, Feb. 19, 2023, May 28, 2023 and Aug. 20, 2023. Each event drew in more people than the last and this will be our fifth Slow Down event and our One Year Anniversary Celebration.

About DJ Smash – Victor Rios

As a Brooklyn, New York native it was inevitable that Victor Rios would enter the world of music. DJ SMASH was surrounded by music inside and outside the household growing up. He was exposed to the DJ scene at a young age and has been passionate ever since. With over 20 years of DJ experience you can expect nothing but creativity and fabulous entertainment at any of his events. His sound is worldwide and he brings that positive and uplifting feeling to the dance floor. His career highlights include a variety of radio mix DJ nightclub residencies to weddings, corporate events and galas. He is also the founder of More Than Music Academy, the only DJ School in Southwest Florida. One of his goals as a DJ is to form a team of like-minded creative individuals that together can be a positive influence to the future DJ generations. DJ SMASH continues to set trends in the ever evolving world of entertainment and he is the perfect addition to any party or event. Smash Entertainment was brought to life on in November of 2019 when Victor went from working DJ clubs and lounges to realizing that making his own events would be best for him and the SWFL community. He’s always fostered the idea to bring everyone together through music and entertainment. This is the main reason why he continue to show everyone that they deserve R&B music in their life and now he’s doing just that through the Slow Down Movement.
