Thomas Clarance Pugh Jr.

Thomas Clarance Pugh Jr., 64, of North Fort Myers died on April 7, 2009, at Hope Hospice, Cape Coral. He was born on July 22, 1944, in Memphis, Tenn., a child of Thomas Clarance and Mildred Jane (Utly) Pugh Sr.

A resident of North Fort Myers for the past 12 years, he was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict having served in the Army and was a retired electronic technician for the Federal Government. A member of the Disabled American Veterans and First Assembly of God, Fort Myers.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Phyllis A. (Whitaker) Pugh; his children, Martin Thomas (Sunny) Pugh of Peach Tree, Ga., and Sheryl Lynn (Craig) Vandenberg of Jacksonville, Fla.; 3 grandchildren; his brothers, Timothy (Donna) Pugh and Richard (Lori) Reardon, all of California and his sister, Maria Jane (Louis) Bunster of Missouri.

A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, April 18, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Buccaneer Estates, 2210 N. Tamiami Trail, North Fort Myers. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent in his memory to the Disabled American Veterans, P O Box 1437, St. Petersburg, FL 33731.
