Bryon Jay Barney Bash
Bryon Jay Barney Bash, 87, of North Fort Myers, died on Nov. 21, 2009 at Hope Hospice, Cape Coral. He was born on Dec. 10, 1921 in Arlington, Ohio, a child of Roy Franklin and Lottie Mae (Bame) Bash.
Barney was employed for many years by Maas Brothers until his retirement in 1987. He also worked for Andy Bell Oldsmobile and was a life insurance salesman.
An avid golfer, he played for many years at the Fort Myers Country Club and won many tournaments for Maas Brothers. He also won many bowling tournaments in Ohio.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Jean “Gina” (Sherman) Bash, his son, Gary Lee Bash of North Fort Myers, his grandchildren, Kristen and Ryan Bash and Richard (Lori) Welch and his three great-grandsons, Jack, Trevor and Casey Welch and his former daughter-in-law, Nancy Hendry. He was the brother of the late Keith Bash.
A Memorial Service was held on Friday, Nov. 27, at 1:30 p.m. in Chapel of Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Parkway, Cape Coral.
