Paulena Irene Sloat, 67, of North Fort Myers, FL died on August 21, 2011 at the Health Park Medical Center, Fort Myers, FL. She was born on September 3, 1943 in Plain City, OH, a child of Lawrence and Erma (Durban) Jahn.
A resident of North Fort Myers since October 1984, she previously lived in California. She was employed from 1997 to 2009 as an assembly worker for Precision Econowind Manufacturing Company, North Fort Myers. Paulens enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Wife of the late John William Sloat Sr, who died in 2001 after 38 years of marriage, she is survived by her children, Deanna L. (Ray) Camacho of Las Vegas, NV, David L. Sloat of North Fort Myers, FL, John William (Dorothy) Sloat Jr. of North Fort Myers, FL and Debra S. (Daniel) Kay of North Fort Myers, FL, 5 grandchildren and her sisters, Betty (Tim) Shooks and Florence Conners, all of OH.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in the Affordable Cremations and Horizon Funeral Home, 1605 Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers where the family received friends. Burial followed at the Fort Myers Memorial Gardens.
