Joseph F. ‘Bud’ Gulde Jr.
Joseph F. ‘Bud’ Gulde Jr., 81, of North Fort Myers, FL died on October 29, 2011 at Hope Hospice, Cape Coral, FL. He was born on November 4, 1929 in Rushville, IN, a child of Joseph F. and Anna (Ayres) Gulde Sr.
Bud was born and raised in Rushville, IN. He married Janet “Tibby” Dearinger and they raised seven children together. He served in the Navy during the Korean conflict. Bud served as a Rushville city councilman, was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Elks. He worked with his father (Joe Sr.) and his brother. Bill in the family contracting business.
Bud moved his family to Ft. Myers, FL in 1981. Bud owned a custom window installation business in Ft. Myers for many years and continued to work construction, specializing in finish work into his late 70s. Bud was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. Bud liked to frequent the All Star Lanes, where he loved and was loved by, the “entire gang”.
Bud was preceded in death by his wife, Tibby, daughter, Cynthia and son, James. Bud is survived by his children: Joseph F. (Mari) Gulde III, Christopher Gulde, Rebecca Gulde and Steven Gulde of North Fort Myers; Nicholas Gulde of Provincetown, MA; his grandchildren, Justin Schnitker and Tyler and Alyssa Gulde and his brother and sister-in-law, William and Karmen Gulde of Rushville, IN.
Funeral services will take place at Todd Funeral Center in Rushville, IN on Mon., Nov 21st with burial at Calvary Cemetery Tues, Nov 22nd.
