Jeffrey S. Burkholder
Jeffrey S. Burkholder, 42, of Cape Coral, died on December 25, 2011 at his home under the care of Hope Hospice. He was born on April 12, 1969 in Eureka, MO, a child of Richard R. and Sharon L. (Martin) Burkholder.
A resident of Cape Coral and North Fort Myers since 1988, Jeffrey graduated from Fort Myers High School in 1989 the same year that he underwent transplant surgery for a new kidney. He was very active in Special Olympics, he enjoyed all sports but especially was involved in Track and Field and Bowling; he attended the Community Center Church of Grace United Methodist in north Fort Myers.
His father, Richard R. Burkholder died in 2006; he is survived by his mother with whom he lived, Sharon L. Burkholder, his sister, Sherri Burkholder of Cape Coral, FL, one niece, one nephew and many aunts and uncles.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Grace United Methodist, (Main chapel), 13 SE 21st Place, Cape Coral, FL 33990. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to the above named church. Friends may sign the guest book at www.dinifiedcremations.com.
