William (Bill) Gordon Hopkins
William (Bill) Gordon Hopkins, 88, of North Fort Myers, FL passed away at home under the care of Hope Hospice on Jan. 11, 2012. He was born in Pittsfield, MA on October 13, 1923 to George Allen and Mary (Newton) Hopkins.
Bill graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1941 and in 1942 joined the Army Air Force. He relocated to Omaha, NE where he worked as Police Sergeant with the Omaha Police Department from 1950 until retirement in 1970 when he moved to Southwest Florida.
Bill is survived by his wife, Sarah (Sally) Hopkins, three children, Sharon Reis of Naples, FL, Linda Reber of Overland Park, KS and William Hopkins of Omaha, NE and three grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be on Friday, Jan. 20, at 10 a.m. in St. Therese Church, 20115 N Tamiami Trail, North Fort Myers, FL 33903.
