Martha Mary Hunt
Martha Mary Hunt, 67, of Fort Myers, former longtime resident of Cape Coral, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at Hope Hospice, Cape Coral. She was born on Aug. 22, 1944, in Flint, Mich., a daughter of Edward J. and Priscilla M. (Kehoe) Hammer-berg.
She lived her final days in Buckingham, Fla. She formerly lived in Cape Coral since 1979. She co-owned and operated the “Catch’um” Bait Shop in Fort Myers with her son Stephen. She loved the bait shop just not the fiddler crabs.
She is survived by her seven children, Theresa Fox of Brownsburg, Ind., Michael Fox of Cape Coral, Thomas (Lori) Fox of Cape Coral, Joseph Fox of Cape Coral, Stephen Hunt of Buckingham, Fla., Christopher (Susan) Hunt of Cape Coral and Jeffery Hunt of North Fort Myers; her grandchildren, Michael Bundren, Bradley (Mary Beth) Carlton, Jessica Soviero, Kelsey Fox, Tommy Fox, Brandon Fox, Brianna Fox, Samantha Hunt and Christopher Hunt; her great grandchildren, Charlie Carlton, Libby Carlton and Ariana; her seven siblings, Judy (Jack) Draper, Ed (Jackie) Hammerberg, Patty (Kim) Bancroft, Steve (Sandy) Hammerberg, Mary Anderson, Joe (Sharon) Hammerberg and Katy Shaltz; also many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents and her brother-in-law, Brad Shaltz.
A memorial service was held Thursday, March 8, in the Chapel of Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Parkway, Cape Coral.
