Michael E. Boylston, 57, of Alva, Fla., passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014, of melanoma.

He was born in Winter Park, Fla., and grew up in Orlando. He attended Good Shepherd Catholic School and Bishop Moore High School where he excelled in all sports, especially the game of golf. He served in the United States Army stationed in Fort Hood, Texas. Upon discharge, he moved to Cape Coral and began a 35 year career with United Telephone (Century Link).

He truly loved his family, his friends and his Lord and Savior.

He was predeceased by his parents, Eugene W. and Jean S. Boylston, and his brother, Richard “Red” Boylston.

He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Tracy D’Amour Boylston; his sons, Sean Michael and Drew Matthew (Cali) of Alva; his precious grandson, Jaden Michael Boylston; and his sisters, Susan (Dan) Mallary, Barbara (Glenn) Harlow and Patricia (Bryan) Bowen, all of Orlando.

Friends were received on May 22 and a celebration of Michael’s life followed at Temple Baptist Church, 18841 State Road 31, North Fort Myers.

A private graveside service was held for family on Friday at Coral Ridge Cemetery, Cape Coral.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Temple Baptist Benevolence Fund in Michael’s memory.
