Henry “Hank” S. Bussey

Henry “Hank” S. Bussey, Jr., 71, a North Fort Myers resident for the past 24 years, formerly of Griffith, IN, passed away in Cape Coral on Aug. 17, 2014. He was born on Dec. 8, 1942 in Hammond, IN to Henry S. Bussey, Sr. and Ann Wise, both deceased.
He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in North Fort Myers. He belonged to the American Legion Post 369 in East Chicago, IN. He will be remembered as a loving husband, a great father, a wonderful grandfather and great-grandfather. A loving, gentle man who always greeted you with a whistle and smile. He was loved and will be missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Dolores “Dolly” (Hughes) Bussey; four children, Hank Bussey, III of North Fort Myers, Debi Borza (Greg) of Lowell, IN, Vicke Neely of Hobart, IN and Mike Hughes (Terry) of Merrillville, IN; one brother, Eddie Simmons (Melanie) of Lansing, IL; son-in-law, Kevin Nay of Dyer, IN; stepmother, Lila J. Bussey of Vero Beach, FL; 10 grandchildren, as well as four great grandchildren.
Henry was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Nay in 2012 and son-in-law, Mike Neely in 2008.
A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 2, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 20115 N. Tamiami Trail, North Fort Myers, with Father Tom Heck officiating.
