Dana Anthony King, Sr.

Dana Anthony King, Sr., 59, of North Fort Myers, formerly of Westwood, MA, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014 in Cape Coral. He was born Nov. 7, 1954 in Boston, MA to Thomas and Ethel King, now deceased.

Dana was a member of Crosspoint Christian Church of Cape Coral. Before moving to Florida in 1998, He worked for St. Catherines Catholic School in Norwood, MA, Medfield Public School in Medfield, MA, as well as Medway Community Church in Medway, MA.

Dana was also an accomplished drummer and tile mason. He loved God and his family very much. Dana had his first son when he was 18 and loved him tremendously. When Dana met his wife Tina they fell in love, and their love for each other continued to grow over their beautiful life together. They were married Nov. 22, 1985 and had four beautiful children. He was very proud of all his children and the accomplishments they made. He was also grateful for the beautiful grandchildren they gave him. Dana was taken from his family much too soon. He faced his death with joy knowing that he was going home to be with the Lord. Dana’s only concern was for his family after his passing. He prayed for them daily to find the joy and peace that he had.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Tinamarie King of North Fort Myers; five children, Michael R. King and his spouse Nicole of Vail, CO, Dana A. King, Jr. and his spouse Jennifer of St. Cloud, Fla., Terezmarie N. King and her fiance Anthony Cole of North Fort Myers, Raymond R. King of St. Cloud, and Kimberly E. Rosado and her spouse Juan of Cape Coral; two sisters, Ethel “Sandra” Hubbard and her spouse David of Fort Myers and Kathryn Fage and her spouse Douglas of Elsworth, ME; six grandchildren, Ethan, Charlie, Piper, Asher, Dominick, and Trenton; mother-in-law, Ruth N. Spera of Westwood, MA; as well as the dogs, Buster and Frank.

Dana was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas E. King and father-in-law, Remo Spera.

Memorial services will be held at Crosspoint Christian Church located at 204 SW 11th Place, Cape Coral, Fla. 33991, on Sept. 27, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Swearingen officiating.
