Let’s get to work

To the editor:

Recently, Suffolk County, New York, created a program allowing for students to exchange volunteer hours for credits towards their tuition.

It’s called “Credits for Caring.”

I ask you, what if we had such a program nationwide?

Such a program could be utilized to help pay off existing loans as well as allow for the betterment of our communities.

You can write the White House if you support such a program at:

www.whitehouse.gov or contact your local Congressional representative.
