Support solar energy plan
To the editor:
Let us get behind the president’s plan to modernize our energy future. Floridians are in a position to generate 50-100 percent of all of their household electrical use by putting solar panels on the roofs of their homes. I know this can be done. I have been doing it for over a year. With some incentive money from the government on the front end (not a rebate), and a government guarantee of the purchase of 250,000 plus solar panels, the price for solar panel units would drop drastically. This industry pulse would increase jobs for the solar panel manufacturers (U.S. companies) and create lots of jobs for installers in the state, and produce clean, renewable, quiet and available power for the present and future. It would bring “Power to the People,” not just the utility companies. We elected this president because we need change. Let’s start changing now. This simple idea can be done now.
