Revamp the lottery, invest in America
To the editor:
Since I do believe that most Americans are upset with the fact that our manufacturing base as a nation has been badly destroyed by the offshore products manufactured elsewhere, that we are badly in need of some recovery to re-establish our financial status throughout the world, what say we try something different?
How about manufacturing millionaires? Don’t you think that might be given some serious thought? We can do that if we are willing to overhaul our lottery systems and use them for such purpose.
By our very nature we are all gamblers. All we have to do is take advantage of that fact and we can really do great things.
Can you imagine if all the lotteries we presently have in place were made tax free, and all the monies given away were in single million dollar segments to a like number of people instead of the ridiculous $250 million dollar awards to an individual? We could create 250 new millionaires in one shot who could be taxed as millionaires and re-invigorate the economy in a different manner. Turn their purchases of their family dreams, desires, such as homes, cars, furniture, T.V.s, etc.
As more and more millionaires are created, the purchase of products, wherever in the world they are created, would be purchased by American millionaires and thus stimulate our America once again,
Much of our aspiring poor would become rich and we would have a glorious spreading of the wealth to good purpose.
What do you say Obama, could we give this one a shot?
It certainly could pay for any fancy new health bill we might just incur, to say nothing of all the pleasures such a program might project.
A thought, just a thought
