Enforce immigration laws
To the editor:
We seem to have a new class of handicapped, namely our government in Washington DC. Our country has literally been invaded and now there is talk of rewarding the invaders with some form of amnesty. Until we get control of our borders our future is in danger. The politically correct mob is running rampant in Washington, freedom of the press has become a license to lie.
President Eisenhower shipped back millions of Mexicans. We can do the same at a cost far less than keeping them here taking money from our social welfare educational, medical, judicial programs and more in which they have absolutely no right receiving.
Our country is overrun with illegals from all over the world, many of whom wish nothing but to kill us. Our self-serving government in Washington seems hypnotized. With our borders wide open for illegals, drug and terrorists coming in by the millions, the only answer they appear able to conjure up is amnesty.
The recent Arizona law is the first genuine effort to staunch the flow across the borders. The politicians see thousands of demonstrators but too many view them as potential future voters while too many business hear the siren call of cheap labor and increased profits both are reluctant to save our country by enforcing the constitution.
I call on each and every legal American citizen to rise up during the next upcoming elections and scrutinize most carefully each and every candidate, then vote for the ones you feel have passed the test of being American, believing in maintaining this great country’s Constitution.
