4,000 abortions a day; 50 million lives lost
To the editor:
In our last letter, July 3, we wrote that there were 4,000 abortions a month. Unfortunately, we were wrong. There are 4,000 abortions a day. We wish that it was only 4,000 a month. That would add up to 48,000 a year. A gruesome enough number at that. But it is 4,000 in this country, meaning that over 1,000,000 of our citizens are deprived of life each year. We are sorry for the mistake.
We just wish that people would realize that we have destroyed over 50,000,000 people since Roe vs. Wade was passed. We feel that every life that results from a sexual union is placed there by God. He has a reason for every child that is conceived. How many presidents, Congressional personnel, doctors, lawyers, school teachers, scientists, etc., have been aborted that could have resulted in breakthroughs for the human race. We will never know. Our prayer is that every doctor that performs abortions would have their eyes open to the damage they have done, repent, and close those clinics, and every woman thinking about aborting that child would realize how important life is.
