Election responsibilities

4 min read

To the editor:

I have been busy calling every candidate on the ballot for the primaries.

I have talked extensively with all but a few candidates, including judges, school board members, senators, and reps. I asked some very tough questions dealing with the constitution and infringements that I see taking place that must be changed. Some of the candidates danced around the issues; however, most were honest and answered with some conviction.

Needless-to-say, I have come to a peace about who I will vote for on Aug. 24. I believe it is every American’s duty to do the same by searching out records, news clips, and talking to the candidates directly.

That is the primary reason I have formed this meetup group. Now of course, we will also hold rallies and protests when needed, but we must get men and women of God in office and hold those in office accountable as a primary responsibility.

The following is a list of the candidates that I will be supporting in the primaries. Let me urge you to do the research for yourself. Feel free to give me feedback.

Let me first say that I am extremely upset with the media and the two major political parties. They pick and choose who they want and only advertise these candidates, and I can tell you that most of the candidates who cannot afford fancy street signs and political ads are the ones we should be voting for.

For us senate, I am backing Dr. William Escoffery III (senatebill.us) I thoroughly enjoyed our visit together. He is by far the most educated man running for office. He is exactly the type of common man we need in the senate. He is honest and a strict constitutionalist who will make a fuss in office. He will expose what’s really going on in Washington.

For Florida rep in District 73, I am backing John Schultz; however, in the general election I may support a third party candidate. Mr. Schultz is an honest hard- working former Police Officer, and has the right endorsements (and lack there of from Romney, McCain, and the Big Liars in Washington).

He was the most eager to listen to my comments and give honest answers. Casalino, was also honest, but did not line up with me on the most basic Constitutional issues.

For governor, I am backing Bill McCollum; however, in the general election I will support a true Constitution party type candidate. Mr. McCollum will tell you to look at his record and support him if you like it, and I admire that. So many Democrats who voted for Obama’s healthcare are running from their records and campaigning as conservatives, which makes me sick. Unfortunately, Rick Scott is doing the same. He talks a great conservative game, but he is not. He owns over 100 Hospitals, all of them supply abortions. He is a perfect example of someone who lies and says exactly the opposite of what he will do. Obama is still the best at that.

For school board, I am voting all incumbents out due to the Browder scandals and increases in taxes. Please get Elinor Scricca and Steve Teuber out and vote for Don Armstrong, Tom Scott, and Arnie Gibbs.

Judges do not like to answer a lot of questions, but they were willing to talk with me a while. therefore, I am backing Robert Branning and Eric . Feichthaler over the incumbents.

For attorney general, I support Jeff Kottkamp as the only candidate who is truly pro life.

I would also urge you to disregard the lies that the unions and advertisers are putting out that the Fire Assessment Proposal will lower taxes. It will not. Most property tax owners will see their bills double if this passes. While I agree that there should be more funding for police and fire, I do not believe this is the answer. If our government would use our money wisely, they would have a surplus to fund police and fire. But they throw money at Administrators, school boards, and contractors. We need an overall cut in environmental programs, local land buys, bailouts, and regulatory agencies. We will then be able to fund what truly needs funded: law enforcement and fire services. Vote no! vote no on the tax levy proposal.

I hope this helps all of you in your search for the best leaders to put in office. I especially hope that my actions have encouraged each of you to do your part in researching candidates and holding them accountable.

May God bless each of you,

Ryan Sharp
