Fernandez for county judge
To the editor:
A Judicial Candidate who has the best overall background and the right disposition for serving our community deserves to be elected. It really does matter that our local judges have broad based experience, professional involvement and a long-term commitment for our community. Fernandez has 22 years of trial experience both as former Assistant State Attorney and his successful private practice. Fernandez has demonstrated through his Bar leadership (former Lee County Bar President, 20th Circuit Grievance Committee Chair) and vast involvement on State/Local committees such as Traffic Rules, Small Claims Rules, Unlicensed Practice of Law, Professionalism, etc. that he genuinely loves the law and the improvement of our legal system! For two decades now, Fernandez has also volunteered and freely given of his time, talents and resources to organizations (Habitat For Humanity, Nations Assoc., Grace Church, etc.) and our youth, by coaching athletic teams and mentoring our area students. He has a tremendous work ethic and his servant’s heart makes a difference in our community. I met Fernandez at Grace Church and he has helped me personally on many occasions, and has also been a great resource for me in my pursuance of a Criminal Justice degree at UCF. I have given him no real reason to help me personally, he just does it out of his willingness to help others.
Last but not least, Fernandez as a person has been and continues to be a positive influence and example to all that the American Dream is alive and well.
