Republican Party of Florida crushed
To the editor:
As candidates supported by the RPOF fell by the wayside, especially Bill McCollum, it has become more and more obvious that Floridians are fed up with the pinheads controlling the party and the intelligent voters will dismiss any candidate who can’t think for himself and is willing to choose evil over good.
The RPOF launched vicious attacks against Rick Scott even brought in Jeb Bush and others in their attempt to prop up Mr. McCollum, projecting, as usual, half truths and absolute lies in their desperate and despicable attempt to tear down Mr. Scott. They called Scott a crook, and pictured him as an awful human being, not fit to be either a Republican or Florida’s governor.
And now, with McCollum defeated, suddenly this man who the RPOF said could not be trusted is being endorsed by the same people who slammed him. And there, my friends, is exactly why the Republican Party of Florida cannot be trusted.
The RPOF is nothing more than a gang of disingenuous weasels who will do and say anything to retain their power and could care less about Florida or its future.
In November, any candidate promoted by the RPOF should be defeated, birds of a feather do flock together, and only Independent candidates, people who are not controlled by bums, should be supported. The leaders of the RPOF just don’t get it, and frankly, neither does any thinking person appreciate being treated like idiots by disrespectful opportunists.
How the RPOF can characterize Rick Scott, for months, as a crook and a low life and then suddenly back him claiming that he is a worthwhile candidate is the ultimate insult to the intelligence of any sane person.
I’ve been a supporting Republican for more than 50 years. This is not the same Republican Party we have known and any candidate lined up with these dangerous bosses should not be trusted, and must be defeated in November.
