Time to bite the bullet
To the editor:
I do believe that most of us have heard the term “Everything that goes around comes around.” With that thought in mind, I would suggest since our economy is in the state that it is in, the time has come for the elimination of all C.O.L.A.’s and the minimum wage as they presently exist. And, while we are at it a freeze on the wages of all government employees throughout the nation would most certainly be in order. Without these innovations of such edicts this nation of ours is most surely headed for the dung heap of history :
In addition, our systems of retirement, pensions that pay near 100 percent of dollar earnings during a working career, must be drastically reduced to no more than 50 to 75 percent of such payment., as a ceiling, and any thought of retirement before the age of 60 years must be completely eliminated.
The time has come for all of our various legislatures at every level of government to bite the bullet and do what we all know is the right thing if we are serious about correcting all our various problems.
The longer that we dilly dally with correcting these issues, the greater possibility exists that we won’t be able to correct them at all, and we’ll all go to hell in that proverbial hand basket.
Bring our troops back home from all around the world, start to learn how to mind our own business, let this world take care of its own and we can then well be on the right track of solution.
Rebel at these innovations? Then we all damn well deserve to perish in the well of oblivion and probably will.
