We desperately need leaders
To the editor:
Where are our leaders? Where is the outrage? The Democrats, in total control in Washington for almost two years, have fostered a turmoil in this country never seen before. Thirteen trillion dollars in debt, we’re on the verge of bankruptcy, and the politicians have no answer. Millions of Americans out of work, and the politicians in Washington vote themselves a raise. While we’re fiddling in Afghanistan, Iran is completing their nuclear bombs and missiles and nobody seems to know what to do.
The Washington crowd continues to babble while our service people die. We’ve got the power and we need to win the war now. We need to stop bowing, stop apologizing, stop the pomposity, just win the war. Our leaders have no plan for winning and plan for leaving, and our soldiers continue to die every day. We can’t win anything when politicians believe that they have been hired to point the finger at the opposing party and wave the middle finger at us.
We have lost our manufacturing edge to Asia. Gas prices are about to skyrocket. Our borders are like sieves and the pinheads want to give illegals amnesty and free healthcare. The solution, according to our leaders, sue Arizona for attempting to protect United States citizens.
I don’t mention this because I’m trying to be the voice of gloom and doom. I’m trying to light a fire. I’m speaking out because I have hope and I believe in America. In my lifetime, I’ve lived through some of America’s greatest moments. I’ve also experienced some of our worst crises: The Great Depression, World War II, the Korean War, the Kennedy assassination, the Vietnam War, the 1970s oil crisis, and the struggles in recent years since 9/11. We fought through it all and prevailed because we had leadership with resolve and dedication. We need that now before it’s too late.
