To the editor:

George W. Bush’s refusal to attend the “Global Youth Leadership Summit” in Denver on Feb. 25 just because WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange was asked to attend is an insult to the American people. Julian Assange appeared at the conference Friday by video link. To me this just shows how big Julian Assange is to the world and how small ’43 can be.

A Bush spokesman said Bush does not want to be part of a forum that invited someone who has “willfully and repeatedly done great harm to the interests of the United States.”

In 2000, when Bush ’43 won the Presidency, silver was $5.12 an ounce, the Euro was 84 cents, gold was $282.00 an ounce, and oil was at $30.00 a barrel.

If there is anyone in the world’s political leadership who has done great harm to the American middle class it is without a doubt, minuscule ’43.
