Could it happen here?
To the editor:
Egypt fell. Unrest and violence spreading throughout the middle east. Governments on the verge of being dismantled. And politicians heading for the hills. The big question is; why is this happening and what are the elements that led to the propagating of a world in turmoil. Frankly, even the most uneducated eye can easily discern what led to the mayhem and madness In all the instances we see people without homes, unemployment out of control and producing unrest, unhappiness, and angry citizens “hungry” and not able to feed their families, and the politicians ignoring the will of the people while babbling nonsense. When we add to this, wild spending, an unsustainable debt level, and armies of disingenuous politicians, both Republicans and Democrats, refusing to recognize or care about the impending disaster and spending their days denigrating one another, instead of working together to solve the problems, we then have a climate ripe and ready to explode. The growing unrest around the world should serve as an example to our representatives that “business as usual” just won’t cut it any more. We’re fed up with the pomposity, the arrogance, and the lack of candidness and productivity. We expect our representatives to be creative, productive, and truthful. We demand results. And we want an end to the bowing, apologizing around the world, and especially to the weakening of our nation. Through the years, men and women have fought and died for this democracy and God has blessed us with being able to enjoy the greatest nation on earth. We will not permit bombastic pinheads to destroy it all. Be careful politicians, we’re watching the rest of the world, we see obvious parallels, and we’re coming to the end of our rope.
