Connie NoMack
To the editor:
This last no vote on the debt ceiling was too much to take. It seems Mr. Mack can usually find some part to disagree with and vote NO. We need people in congress who can look at the overall benefits and the broad picture.
The following is a partial listing of bills that passed while Mr. Mack voted NO:
Tarp, Short Term Budget Deal HR1363,Food Safety Modernization Act, Children’s Health Insurance Program, Alternate Energy Bill. Tuition Relief Bill, Medicare Prescription Drug Bill, Fair Minimum Wage Act, Helping Families Save their Home Act, Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act, Increasing Debt Limit HR1954, Small Business Lending Fund, Unemployment Benefits, Campaign Finance Disclosure, Employment Discrimination Amend, Establish Office of Congressional Ethics, 2008 and 2009 Defense Appropriations, Student Aid Program Modification, Equal Pay Bill, Automobile Industry Financing, Infant Mortality Pilot Program, Mortgage Restructuring in Bankruptcy, Medicare Extensions HR5613
The purpose of this list is not to suggest that Mr. Mack vote yes on all the issues, but to show he is out of step with Congress and the American People. With so many no votes, I feel that I lost my vote in Congress.
