You decide… government either corrupt or stupid!
To the editor:
Let’s examine the facts. Let’s set aside all the political babble and all the “he said she said” finger pointing. Let’s forget about Democrat or Republican…and let’s simply expose what can only be characterized as incompetent weasels.
The U.S. postal service was established in 1775. They have had 237 years to get it right… and they’re broke.
Social Security was established in 1935. They have had 77 years to get it right… and they’re broke.
Fannie Mae was established in 1938. It has had 74 years to get it right… and they’re broke.
Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965. They have had 47 years to get it right… and they’re broke.
Freddie Mack was established in 1970. They have had 42 years to get it right… and they’re broke.
The Department of Energy was created in 1977 to lessen our dependence on foreign oil. It has ballooned to 16,000 employees with a budget of $24 billion a year. They have had 35 years to get it right, we now import more oil than ever before…and it can only be considered an abysmal failure.
The over-paid government pin heads have failed us in every endeavor which requires business common sense. We need to get rid of the armies of useless political patsies, send only successful business people to Washington, and cut our losses before it’s too late.
$15 trillion dollars in debt. Shame on each and every representative and shame on us for not treating either stupidity or incompetence with the scorn they deserve.
I believe that we need to clean house… but you decide.
