By any other name
To the editor:
I think it’s about time that we recognize what profiteering actually is. For instance if a individual is selling a generator out of his pickup truck after a storm, here in Florida and if that price isn’t an equivalent to what one could buy at a large box store, we arrest, indict and convict for profiteering.
Yet an oil company that makes net profit in excess of $11 billion per quarter isn’t profiteering,? They are merely working with supply and demand. BULL. They are profiteering just like the drug companies the utility companies and other sacred cows. They should be arrested and indicted and convicted of profiteering under the federal statutes. But of course that won’t happen because those companies own Congress.
Sad days in America when the public is too lazy to vote, when being a Republican defines you as either ignorant or dumb or both.
