Disgraceful but expected?
To the editor:
I, for one, was not surprised that neither Obama, the VP nor the Secretary of State did not show up for the massive rally in Paris attended by heads of 40 nations to denounce Islamic terrorism, a pledge to fight against it and to fight for the right of freedom of speech. The attorney general of the United States was in Paris for a meeting and after that meeting he turned his back on the rally and decided to return to the U.S.A. As usual, the spin, or lies from the White House was that the security requirement needed if the White House officials attended the Paris rally could have interfered with the event and they did not want the focus to be on Obama and any others from Washington. That did not seem to be the case for the other world leaders present including Germany’s Angela Merkel, Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu, the Palestinian Authority’s Mahmoud Abbas and Jordan’s King Abdullah.
According to the White House pool reports, Obama was in Washington that Sunday at the White House and Vice President Joe Biden was in Wilmington, Delaware, with no official events on their schedules. (Secretary of State John Kerry was in India.) No senior administration officials participated in the much smaller rally and march that took place Sunday afternoon only blocks from the White House. Assistant Secretary of State for Europe Victoria Nuland was the only official representative. Does that indicate that the White House, Obama and his administration, do not want to offend the Radical Islamic Groups? Obama refuses to utter the words Radical Islamic Terrorism.
He blew the chance to support with other world leaders to protect free speech and to fight radical Islamic terrorism. In my opinion he told the radical Islamic world that he, as the president of the United States, does not support that move. He, Hilary Clinton, Joe Biden and others have said that we should cozy up to these people who are trying to kill us and understand their plight and kiss them on both cheeks.
Over the past five years Obama has made decisions which seem to have favored countries that want us dead. Like giving advance information as to what the U.S. was going to do or not do in waging attacks against the enemy. He has been accusing the U.S. of being too strong militarily and therefore being sort of a bully to many other countries. He has apologized to the world for our free and mighty country. He has stated the American people are cheap in their charitable donations.
He said the U.S. would destroy ISIS. Let’s review. He gave them time to regroup when he announced that the U.S. would not put troops on the ground. He announced well in advance when he would pull all troops out of the war-torn areas allowing the enemy to plan a take over of the those areas. He gave a lot of lip service about the leader of Syria and drew a red line about using chemicals but nothing came of that. Destroy ISIS. Yep. There have been many hundreds of bombing missions and what does he show us bombing the same pickup truck and the same empty building being destroyed. He did show us that after spending millions of dollars on bombs that three members of the ISIS were killed.
The New York Post newspaper had pictures of Obama, Biden, Kerry and Holden with large print which said. YOU LET THE WORLD DOWN. Amen to that. He let the United States of America down big time.
I believe that Obama is more on the side of the enemy than on the side of we the people of the United States. Purposely not attending the rally in Paris is a classic example of what he and his ilk stand for. A direct slap in the face to those who attended the rally and to those he has tried to convince to be our allies. I for one stand firmly with those who marched in Paris and certainly rise up and call for everyone to proclaim their stand for the freedom of speech and the freedom of the press. Without those we are lost as a great nation.
Just recently Obama and the leader of Great Britain had a joint TV interview. In that interview the leader of Great Britain was telling our Congress what not to do about the sanctions on Iran in support of Obama’s wish. The gall of the leader of Great Britain to tell our Congress what to do or not do. In other words give the enemy more time to continue their work on the nuclear problem while they laugh at us for the incompetence in our negotiations.
If we could ask for a vote of who supports Obama I would venture to say most would come from our enemies.
I am worried about my kids, grandkids and great grandkids paying a dear penalty for what this madman is doing to our country and what disaster he will get the United States into. The greatest country on the face of the earth, one which has been the envy of the world from our beginning to the present time and he is destroying it.
I pray to God every day for His help for the salvation of our beloved country.
