Political hypocrites
To the editor:
Political hypocrites make me sick.
Nine good people murdered, in South Carolina, while worshiping. A nut, a screwball, walks into a house of worship and kills people for no reason at all.
A true tragedy and we should all mourn and pray for the families who have lost loved ones. It was a case of wanton murder, absolutely inhumane and simply un-American.
It was not a calamity that needed to be politicized by President Obama and countless other talking heads immediately following the disaster. Using this nightmare to attack the Second Amendment, claiming that if there were stricter gun control laws the nine in South Carolina would still be alive, was nothing more than a childish ploy and absolute lie.
Shame on Mr. Obama and all others who used this as a opportunity to further their agenda.
Let’s set the record straight: Modify the Second Amendment and only the bad people will benefit. This action will not serve to remove a single firearm from either the nuts or from those that are law breakers.
And now for the sickening hypocrisy. Murder in the womb – 50 million individuals slaughtered since the Roe V. Wade law was enacted.
Killing continuing at the rate of almost 2 million each year and there is no outrage, no condemnation, and no caring. Most politicians simply ignore the disaster, some whisper about it, and all hide under their desks when it is brought up. They call it “choice,” I call it murder!
There is no doubt that double-talking politicians are avoiding this because they are not sure how the political winds are blowing. So they don’t speak out and Americas worst black mark continues to grow.
Yes, all good people stand with the families in South Carolina that lost precious loved ones. May God Bless them and heal their painful wounds. But, for the silent hypocrites, at all levels of elected office, who do not have the guts to speak out against this atrocity, no doubt God will consider you compliant and you will answer to Him. It’s time, elected officials, get some back-bone and do the right thing. You can’t change the law but you can express your outrage and, by doing so, you will help to end the murders.
Do it before it’s too late!
