Diatribes against Republicans doesn’t help matters

In response to a recent letter, I would like to offer the following:
Yes, Republicans won major elections in 2010 and in 2014. Have you figured out why they won these elections?
The statement claiming Republicans have obstructed efforts to help the economy improve for everyone but the wealthiest few is not accurate. I used to own a business employing 200-plus people. NAFTA and all of the new reporting laws forced me to close the doors. I always paid significantly more than the minimum wage and my work force consisted of more that 85 percent minority workers.
Yes, the Republicans have voted to stop attempts to increase the government infrastructure. Do you realize that the government employs more people than any corporation anywhere? What about the trebling of our national debt under Obama? What will happen when the Yuan is accepted as a world currency replacing the dollar? How far ahead have you thought of these issues?
Equal pay for women? I guess I would ask Hilary why she, of all people, pays the women who work for her less than what she pays men. (By the way, I am a woman and under the Republican presidents, was able to start that business and I made equal pay!) I was at the White House representing women business owners when legislation supporting minorities and women was signed. It has been ignored by so many.
Tax breaks: I think that a lesson in economics and history might help you understand this. Clinton was responsible for NAFTA (the North American Free Trade Agreement). Many corporations sent jobs overseas where they could pay workers $00.20 / hour rather than pay union wages of $23 / hour. Where have their profits gone? In many cases overseas into banks and other ventures. Why? When the government taxes your profits at 15 to 38 percent what would you do?
Long-term unemployment? I met a lady in Detroit who turned down a job paying $13 / hour. Why? Well, she collected $800 monthly for housing from the state, $1,456 from unemployment and Aid for Dependent Children (WIC) gave her $400 for each of her 5 children. You do the math. She made $4,256 a month for doing nothing versus $2,340 for working. Plus if she worked she would have to pay for child care. DUH!
The Bengazi hearings? My response to this issue is why were they needed in the first place? Why was the Ambassador without protection?
The writer claims that all Republicans offer are lies, excuses or blame on Obama. My response to that is it seems both Republicans and Democrats seem to have problems with the truth. I do concur that anyone who is caught in a lie should pay the consequences. Including the president and secretary of state! Our moral system has collapsed. Murders, lying, cheating and stealing are so prevalent today.
Diatribes in the paper against Republicans without relevant facts do not help the matter.
