It’s easy to ‘Learn About Stamps’
October is National Stamp Collecting Month and the National Postal Museum has launched a new Web site designed to introduce visitors to stamps and stamp collecting. The site Learnaboutstamps.com is a gateway, with links to important information from many different sources.
The table of contents at the Learn About Stamps home page presents seven “chapters,” each offering answers to a particular question. Each chapter, in turn, transports the visitor to a page with links to more than 300 other Web sites that answer the question and also provides information on related needs and interests.
“Learn About Stamps” is a collaborative effort of the American Philatelic Society, the Smithsonian National Postal Museum, the Philatelic Foundation, and the U.S. Postal Service, in cooperation with the American Stamp Dealers Association and many individuals in the philatelic community.
